All the hard winter training paid off for the FMPGC crews today at Caradon’s 3 Rivers Race – the first major competition of the gigrowing season.
The Ladies A crew broke the club record by finishing 5th out of 39 boats (in 58:07 mins); Ladies B beat the B crew record by coming 13th (in 61:53 mins) and Men’s A finished strongly in 7th place out of 36 (in 52:08 min).
The club achieved another record by finishing 3rd overall for their combined A crew results.
In very windy, tricky conditions, which the local club said they only experience on a handful of days each year, the course tested the fitness and endurance of all taking part.
